After a brilliant career as a dancer with the Ballet du XXe siècle and the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Giorgio Mancini was appointed director of the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève at the age of 31 after having danced with the company during several seasons. Nine years later he took over as director of the MaggioDanza dance company in Florence where he remained until 2007. After working as a freelance choreographer for three years, Giorgio Mancini has now decided to set up his own dance company, the GM Ballet, with the goal of bringing dance to unexpected places and to the widest possible audience.
