F L O R A

Inspired by Michael Cunningham’s novel The Hours and Philip Glass’s music for the movie of the same name, this new creation  F L O R A chas been made for the garden of Villa La Pietra; a garden full of scents and essences: light, woody, ephemeral, delicate, subtle, heady.

Through his choreography Mancini wants to suggest fragrances and emotions, to imagine a real olfactory performance of the soul, and to demonstrate the diversity, complexity and unpredictability of the feelings expressed in Michael Cunningham’s book (which describes so successfully the poetic essence of flowers and soul).
