In una parte di cielo

The choreography “In una parte di cielo” by Giorgio Mancini is a ballet that reverses the creative process. Whereas usually it is the music that inspires the choreographer to create the movement, in this work Giorgio Mancini sought total creative freedom that would be unshackled by any musical constraint. This is why the musician created the score on the basis of the choreography rather than the reverse.  The choreographer Giorgio Mancini has used the language of classical dance, but with a distinctive contemporary feel.

The ballet “In una parte di cielo” is inspired by the choreographer Giorgio Mancini’s fascination with infinite spaces, such as the sky, crossed by rapid, light, fleeting and “dancing” clouds.
