Mozart per gioco

The ballet "Mozart per gioco" was choreographed by Giorgio Mancini on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of Mozart’s birth. The originality of the work lies in the fusion of classical language and break dance. The role of Mozart is played by a break dancer performing  to the classical music of this great composer. A performance that reflects the rebellious spirit of Mozart.

In creating this ballet the choreographer Giorgio Mancini allowed himself to be guided emotionally by the music of Mozart without any narrative intention. It is a genuine immersion in the world of childhood in which the choreographer digs deep for his ingrained memories of his own childhood as well as the emotions that every child experiences in growing up.
